Aluminum steering plate for WS buggies and truggies
With the WS suspension and already used on the latest truggies, the steering plates have been produced in carbon. It’s been noticed that in heavy crashes, with the servo backup tightened to maximum, there’s a risk that the carbon plate will break. The result is abandonment.
By changing material, you don’t have a clean break, as is possible with carbon, so you can finish your run. Carbon can break cleanly, whereas aluminum is more likely to bend.
This part is available in several types, so that the Akerman can be adjusted to suit the car. The 3 most popular have been chosen (3-4-5). The smaller the number, the less ackerman. A low number will make the car more reactive around neutral. A high number will calm the car around neutral.
